Project 1

Just perfect. We are absolutely thrilled!” “Having put up with a small L-shaped kitchen for long enough, we decided that it was high time to invest in a brand-new kitchen and dining space. Our ideas meant thinking ‘outside of the box’ since they involved a complete transformation of our downstairs area. We contacted a few kitchen companies, including Dave Stone Design, a company which was sourced from Reflections magazine. Some of the kitchen companies said that our aspirations couldn’t be carried out, as they were not feasible. Dan, from Dave Stone Design, however, was happy to take the project onboard and came up with some creative designs. Logistically, it wasn’t easy! We wanted an all-in-one preparation, dining and living area, which was light and airy, and a pleasure to spend time in. To make it work, two walls had to be taken out completely, as well as a downstairs toilet and corridor. On top of this, asbestos had to be removed, and the roof needed extra insulation. Dan’s designs maximised the space

Project 2

“It’s like living in a different house!” We had been thinking for sometime about replacing our outdated kitchen and dining room and had heard glowing reports about Dan from Dave Stone Design from neighbours on our street. They had all been delighted with Dan’s creativity and craftsmanship and, of course, the end product. We contacted Dan, who came to our house to assess what we wanted. We were instantly impressed with his ‘can do’ attitude. “You tell us what you want, and we can do it!” he said. We wanted to open up the separate kitchen and dining room into one light, spacious and airy open plan area. Dan assured us that this was no problem and embarked on producing a CAD design for us to look at. We were impressed by the creativity and the stunning use of colour on the CAD. There was a nice balance of colour with indigo doors and white Alabaster worktops. We couldn’t believe how well our concepts had been interpreted. Dan project-managed the installation from start to finish, which took all the worry out of the job for us.

Project 3

“Nothing was too much trouble!” “Everything was possible!” Having made up our minds to embark on a new kitchen, and following our initial call to Dan, we knew from first meeting him that we had made the right decision. From the outset Dan totally understood what we wanted to achieve, and he was able to create a vision for our new kitchen based on our aspirations and specifications. The project was by no means an easy one particularly due to the significant land drop to the rear of our home. To create the ‘open plan’ feel, two walls had to be knocked down and the original external door had to be moved. A side extension was also added to give us a spacious area downstairs. Dan put in some late evenings just to check everything was OK – giving us the ultimate in personal service. As for the team – what a friendly bunch of lads, great work ethic and professionalism. We were so impressed

Project 4

Saved us from moving home!” “Excellent service and high-quality craftsmanship” “With our children reaching a certain age, we had decided that we had outgrown our current home and needed to move to a bigger one. This was easier said than done. Also, we really liked where we lived. This brought us to wondering about extending our current property. Why not? We ran some basic ideas by an architect and then set about finding a kitchen and building company. Having asked for recommendations on Facebook, we were pointed in the direction of Dan from Dave Stone Design. Dan came to our house, and we went through our ideas with him. This was by no means a simple project – a wall had to be knocked down, an extension built, a utility room and shower added, an entire garage converted, and a garden turfed and landscaped. How Dan interpreted our ideas was music to our ears. He quickly ‘got’ what we were after. We went to the Dave Stone Design showroom and were blown away by Dan’s designs.

Project 5

“A ‘Can do’ attitude” “Open, honest, and efficient” “When we embarked on this project, we had a clear idea of what we wanted. Our aim was to convert our dining room and study into a kitchen, and the kitchen into a dining room and utility room. All we needed was to find the right company for the job. Our top priority was to use a company, who would undertake and project-manage the entire installation, including the building works. The building works involved taking a wall down, building a new wall and installing an RSJ. We approached a few kitchen companies, but Dan from Dave Stone Design was the only one who offered the complete package – including project management. We had also had a glowing recommendation for him as well, and this sealed the deal. The project was by no means easy, but Dan had a ‘Can do’ attitude from the very outset. For everything that was able to be done, he would find a way of achieving it.

Project 6

“Over the Moon!” “From start to finish, we couldn’t have been happier with our new kitchen and the service provided by Dan and the team at Dave Stone Design. From our first initial contact with Jess, to looking over samples and options with Amanda, right through until the day of the completion, the service was exemplary. Nothing too much trouble. Having done a thorough measure up on his first visit, Dan took on board our ideas and said he would ‘wow’ us with his designs. Well, he certainly did that! The creativity, imagination, and ability to maximise space were unbelievable. We were looking for someone who could project manage the operation completely – and Dan fitted the bill perfectly. He was more than happy to oversee all the building work and apply the requested finishing touches. He took the stress out of the whole experience. As busy, working parents that was extremely important to us. We wanted minimum hassle and Dan gave us that – along with maximum reassurance.
